NIDDK Launches Customer Satisfaction Surveys

In an online survey launched in 2001, the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) seeks comments from the public on the products and services of its three information clearinghouses:

  • National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse
  • National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse
  • National Kidney and Urologic Diseases Information Clearinghouse

Anyone who has called, written, or emailed one of the clearinghouses for health information or other assistance with a health question is invited to visit www.niddk.nih.gov/tools/survey.htm to respond.

"The survey will be a valuable tool to help us design our products and services for the public," says Elizabeth Singer, director of NIDDK's Office of Communications and Public Liaison. "We will be able to generate reports from the survey that will help us focus our efforts in the areas that are most needed and wanted by our customers."

The survey will evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of clearinghouse services and is available online, reviewed with customers on the telephone, and sent to customers through the mail. It will also be available for health professionals at conferences of national health associations.

This project has been funded in whole or part with Federal funds from the NIDDK, under contract no. N01-DK-8-2270.
